I've been thinking about getting a professional membership, and going through all the verification procedures they offer. What do you think the effect would be? Am I going to get any new clients? Does the whole idea worth it?

Some say it really works. Please any real facts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't believe in such electronic blind competition. Doesn't sound enthusiastic but I've never met anybody who succeeded there.

I'm a member for abt 5 years by now but still don't have their "professional membership". Though I discussed some propositions with potential clients I've never got an order via Proz.com and don't have any friends with a story of success.

Well, i became a member few days ago, and got my identity verified. Next step would be verifying my diploma and becoming a Certified PRO (at least i can just try). Let's see how far it can get :)
