oral translationconsecutive translation

Unit of measurement — one hour.

Minimal order — ½ of a working day — four hours.

Basic rate is applied within the eight-hour day.

Additional hours (beyond the eight-hour day) — 150% of the basic rate.

The next paid hour begins at the 15-th minute of the next hour, i.e., if the job took, let’s say, 4 hours 15 min, five full hours have to be paid.

At eight-hour day the Client arranges lunch and pays for it.

The Interpreter is paid for his services in the end of the (last) working day, or, in case of a more than a week long work, in certain amounts in certain number of days.

Outside Odesa the Client covers expenses connected with travel, insurance, meals and lodging. The departure day and the arrival day are paid in full independently of the actual time of departure/arrival.

Additional services (translation/preparation of documents, telephone talks, e-mailing, other tasks) are paid separately.

(The Client has to understand that pauses during the working time, visiting — together with the Client or by the Client 's request — museums, restaurants, any entertainments, etc, is not a bonus for the Interpreter but paid working time.)

The Client timely (but not later than the morning of the day before) provides the Interpreters with corresponding materials: the event programme, texts of reports, names of the speakers, etc.

(Note: Simultaneous translation involves a (minimum two persons) team of highly qualified Interpreters using special electronic equipment, and working in a sound-proof booth. The booth has to be placed in a way the Interpreters could see faces of the speakers.

written translation

Unit of measurement — one page of text in the target language (= 1800 symbols with blanks according to MS Word statistics, counting the target text).

Basic rate is applied to translation of four pages of average text a day (for one Translator having two days off per week).

For extra two-three pages a day — 150%.

For work at weekends — * 2.

The final rate can be changed because of the text specific features, its quality, bad scan, etc.

E.g.: final rate = (basic rate + % for quality) * 2 for work at the weekend.

In the process of translation the Translator may discuss certain matters with the author of the text. The Client does not pay additionally for such discussions.
